![]() With their help, the Scientists and Engineers of Humanity worked with the technology the Novus brought to the table to devise a desperate solution. Such a show of unity and determination to live bought Humanity valuable time, for one week after that declaration the mysterious beings and future Custodians of Humanity, the Novus, had arrived, declaring their intention to fight the Hierarchy and avenge every Alien world they have reduced to dust and ashes. That someone was Prime Minister Celine of Great Britain, who would then formally declare the United Nations Federation after she was elected as President of the Human nations that remained. But thanks to the efforts of brave individuals such as Brigadier General Johnson, General Moore, and Major Teresa, the line was held long enough for someone to take the reins. And with most of their leaders dead within the first hours, Humanity nearly didn’t unite as chaos and panic set in. ![]() Alien Invaders, known to them as the Hierarchy, had come to strip their home planet of life and everything they hold dear, and their squabbles of the past looked so petty in comparison to the war of survival they fought in. Yet now they fight in a war on a scale that no single human nation could remain neutral, or even independent of one another. Yes, there were the World Wars of old, but they had been fought with enemies that you could reach by walking in a direction for some time, and did not involve every single polity at once. Yet, it was also true to say that Humanity had not yet fought a war on the scale of the entire planet. War has always been something that was a constant in Humanity, as conflict followed them even into times of relative peace. To say that Humanity was unused to War would normally be a statement that gets you laughed out of the room.
